What an amazing 2014 it was. In just the few short months since July, we went from just an email signup page, to having two functional products and over 150 users. I sincerely want to thank each and every one of you cloud natives. Your desire to take cloud management to the next level is a shining beacon to the rest of the world.
So what does 2015 have in store? Well, some people like to reflect on the past, and put together a list of new year's resolutions to improve themselves and their surroundings. We do too, so to kick things off, we are putting together a blog series focused on AWS Best Practices.
You see, the thing about best practices is, they change. What was considered acceptable in the past (like using an IAM User for a 3rd party integration), might be considered a hack now that IAM Roles are available. What was slow before (using HVM instead of PV) is the new performance master's choice.
Staying current is not easy, but it is a primary driver behind everything we do at CloudNative. A big part of that is continuously learning from and discussing with others. Best practices don't live in a vacuum - they are conceived, iterated on and perfected in collaboration with many others. I hope you enjoy the series, learn a thing or two, discuss, and help others. Together, we can all win.
Here's to an amazing 2015!
